Koh Samui Super Strain Liquid Culture Syringe 10ml

The Koh Samui Super Strain phenotype of Psilocybe cubensis was developed from the original Koh Samui strain, which was first collected on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand, by mycologist John Allen. Unlike the original variety, which produces short, thick fruiting bodies, this isolated “super strain” was selected for its ability to grow tall, full mushrooms while retaining the same potency.

Caps typically measure 3–6 cm in diameter, starting convex and becoming broadly convex to nearly planar at maturity. They are a warm golden-brown at the center, fading toward pale edges. Stems are thick yet elongated, ranging from 10–16 cm, sturdy, and fibrous, supporting the tall growth habit for which this isolate is known. Dense flushes often cover the substrate, producing impressive canopies.

Colonization is fast and aggressive, with the strain fruiting prolifically under standard cubensis conditions. Yields are generous, and the taller, more uniform mushrooms make harvesting and handling easier compared to the original Koh Samui.

Unique to this isolate is its combination of the original’s potency with an increased harvest volume, achieved through the taller, more robust fruiting structure.
