The Albino A Plus phenotype of Psilocybe cubensis was first isolated by researcher “Tentacle Tarantula” in 2008 and represents one of the earliest documented leucistic mutations in cultivation. Despite its name, this variety is leucistic rather than truly albino, displaying cream to white coloration while retaining pigmented spores. Developed through careful genetic stabilization in laboratory settings, Albino A Plus produces medium to large mushrooms with thick stems and broad caps. The strain exhibits the robust growth characteristics of its A+ parent while offering the unique aesthetic of reduced pigmentation.
