The White Rabbit phenotype is a leucistic strain created in a Dutch laboratory through selective breeding. Leucism removes most of the pigmentation from the fruiting bodies while retaining the normal spore coloration, resulting in strikingly pale mushrooms with a clean, uniform appearance. White Rabbit was developed to combine visual appeal with vigorous growth characteristics.
Caps typically measure 3–6 cm in diameter, starting convex and maturing to broadly convex or nearly planar. They are creamy white to ivory in color, sometimes showing faint tan shading near the center as they age. Stems are long, slender to medium-thick, fibrous, and pure white, often giving flushes a dense, snow-like appearance. Fruits tend to grow in abundant clusters, producing even canopies across the substrate.
White Rabbit colonizes grain and bulk substrates quickly and fruits prolifically under standard cubensis conditions. Flushes are consistent in size and shape, with healthy yields across multiple harvests. Its pale coloration makes even minor blue bruising stand out.
Our liquid cultures arrive in high-quality 10 ml laboratory-grade Luer-Lok syringes. Each order includes a sterile 1-inch, 16-gauge needle for microscopy slide dispensing.
All LC sold is for microscopy, taxonomy, or general collection uses only.
