The Sandose phenotype often called “Pan Cambo” in the mycology community, was originally collected in Cambodia and selectively cultivated for its fast growth and prolific fruiting.
Caps are typically 1–2.5 cm in diameter, starting bell-shaped and maturing to convex or broadly convex. They display a pale to silvery-gray coloration with darker mottling as the mushroom matures, and often show subtle bluish tones toward the margin. Stems are thin, fibrous, and elongated, usually 7–12 cm tall, with a pale cream to light tan color.
Sandose colonizes substrates rapidly and fruits readily under proper conditions. Flushes are abundant and form dense, uniform clusters that cover the surface in striking canopies. As with other Panaeolus species, its spore print is jet black, a distinguishing feature from cubensis varieties.
A notable trait of the Sandose phenotype is its ability to produce highly uniform, densely packed flushes with minimal variation in fruit size. Like other Panaeolus cambodginiensis varieties, it is known to fruit faster and exhibit greater potency potential than Psilocybe cubensis, making it a sought-after species for advanced microscopy research.
Our liquid cultures arrive in high-quality 10 ml laboratory-grade Luer-Lok syringes. Each order includes a sterile 1-inch, 16-gauge needle for microscopy slide dispensing.
